Rooted in Troy’s signature blend of gospel, R&B, and music theater, the experience centers on connection between communities—using singing as a tool for collective healing, joy, and solidarity. Join us for Artful Healing! This engaging event combines visual art, music and community to help inspire hope, unity and healing through the connective power of the arts. Tap into your inner artist and participate in an art activity led by Most OutGROWing LLC, sit in on one of our listening circles led by licensed mental health professionals, or enjoy uplifting musical performances by local musicians and artists. This family friendly event is FREE and open to the public.
Summermusik FEaturing Mark Lomax II
Join Summermusik (Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra) as they present their American Roots program which will feature music from the Underground Railroad and Black composers from the 20th and 21st century. The program will feature soprano Victoria Ellington, historian Anne Hagedorn and the Summermusik String Quartet.
Come out and hear Dr. Mark Lomax II’s piece A Prayer for Love as part of this engaging program. Tickets can be purchased on the Underground Railroad Freedom Center’s website.
